The Central Board of Secondary Education has been entrusted with the task of conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2025 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The National Council for Teacher Education has laid down the minimum qualifications for a person to be eligibile for appointment as teacher for class I to VII. Schools owned and managed by the State Government/local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET conducted by the State Government. However, a State Government can also consider the CTET if it decides not to conduct the State TET. A candidate can apply for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test Online by logging on CTET official website https://ctet.nic.in only.
Fee Details:
Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V. Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII. Mode of Payment : Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking
Educational qualifications:
Qualifying Marks A person who scores 60% or more in the TET exam will be considered as TET pass. Validity Period of CTET Certificate The Validity Period of CTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be for life time for all categories. There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a CTET Certificate. A person who has qualified CTET may also appear again for improving his/her score. Nature and standard of questions: The test items on Child Development and Pedagogy will focus on educational psychology of teaching and learning, relevant to the age group of 11-14 years. They will focus on understanding the characteristics, needs and psychology of diverse learners, interaction with learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning. The Test items in Language I will focus on the proficiencies related to the medium of instruction. The Test items in Language II will focus on the elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities. Important Links
